Decluttering can be sexy!!!

I find the one room that is neglected the most is the master bedroom. Wouldn't it be great to have a room that is totally dedicated to you or you and your partner?

The master bedroom tends to become a dumping ground for all kinds of homeless items such as suitcases, kids toys, pet toys, or wrapping paper stuffed under the bed … just to mention a few. It's time to declutter your bedroom and bring the sexy back!

Clean out your closet, all your drawers, under the bed and even the things stuffed under your dresser and in the corners. You can't fool me, I know it's there. With each piece you bring out of your room, allocate it to a new home or if it is no longer useful, out the door it goes.

I would even go as far to say (if you have kids) that the only pictures you have in your room should be of you and your partner. Sorry, no kids pictures… how can you have sexy with your kids looking at you through a frame? There is plenty of space to have their sweet faces in the rest of the house. Be ruthless and reclaim your space!

Don't forget the decor. Now that you have a new decluttered space, think about how you want your room to feel. Think about the colours you would like on the walls and fabric you would like on your windows and bed. With so many stores like Homesense, Pier 1, Walmart, and even Superstore, you can create a new space with any budget.

Enjoy your new Master BedRoom in every possible way!
